Terms of Service.

1. The Service
Jobs & Bids (the "Service") is an information service that aggregates publicly posted government procurement opportunities and delivers them by email and through the Jobs & Bids website, which also includes an optional member marketplace (see Section 5A). The Service is operated by Jobs and Bids LLC, an Illinois limited liability company ("Jobs & Bids", "we", "us"), 244 S Randall Road PMB 1169, Elgin, IL 60123.
2. Subscription & Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually and automatically renew until cancelled. Pro plans include a 14-day free trial, or 30 days if you signed up through another member’s referral link; billing begins when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. Enterprise has no trial and bills from the first day. Prices are exclusive of any applicable taxes.
You can cancel any time from Settings, under Membership. Dropping to the Free plan there, or using “Manage Subscription” to cancel in the secure Stripe billing portal, both take effect at the end of the current billing period: you keep your paid features until that date and are not billed again. We do not pro-rate refunds for partial periods. The unsubscribe link in our emails stops the emails only and does not cancel a paid subscription. Billing questions: contact us.
Subscription fees are non-refundable. Cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund the period you are already in, and you keep access until it ends. We do correct our own mistakes: if you were charged in error, charged twice, or charged for a period in which we did not provide the service, contact us and we will put it right. Nothing here limits a refund any applicable law requires.
3. Government Bid Data & Accuracy
Government bids are not ours. Every solicitation listed on the Service is written, issued, and owned by the government agency named on it, not by Jobs & Bids. We do not author, sponsor, administer, or award any of them, we are not a party to any resulting contract, and we cannot receive or accept a bid on an agency’s behalf. Jobs & Bids is an independent information service and is not affiliated with any government agency. What we own is our own compilation: the collection, cleaning, and delivery of notices agencies have already published, which is what Section 5 restricts. The underlying notices remain the agency’s, and where our copy differs from the agency’s own notice, the agency’s notice governs.
Bid data is pulled from official government procurement sources and presented as-is. We make no warranty as to the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of any bid information. You are responsible for verifying every detail directly with the issuing agency before bidding.
4. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is." We are not liable for any business loss, missed bid opportunity, or other damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Maximum aggregate liability in any event is limited to the fees you have paid us in the prior three months.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to resell, scrape, automate, or otherwise re-distribute bid data delivered through the Service. The Service is for the use of the individual or business that holds the subscription.
5A. Member-Posted Jobs & Member Conduct
Members on a paid plan (Pro or Enterprise) may post jobs through the optional member marketplace, as well as browse and respond to them. Member-posted jobs are created by other members, not by Jobs & Bids; they are clearly badged “Member-posted · verify independently” and are kept separate from the government bids we aggregate (see Section 3). We do not vet, endorse, or guarantee any member, posting, response, or the work itself, and we never take a commission, finder’s fee, or any cut of a job; members connect and contract directly with each other. You are solely responsible for independently verifying any member, license, insurance, and the terms of any engagement before you contract or pay.
When you register, post a job, or respond, you attest that the identity, entity type (government, contractor, business, or individual), and other information you provide are accurate, and that you have the authority to act on behalf of any organization you claim to represent. Misrepresenting your identity, entity type, government or organizational affiliation, licensing, or any other material fact is grounds for immediate termination of your account, without refund, and may be reported to the relevant authorities. You must also keep all posts and responses free of unlawful, fraudulent, harassing, or offensive content; we may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion.
6. Account & Data
You provide account, profile, and (if you use the marketplace) posting information as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers needed to operate the Service: Stripe for payments, Cloudflare for hosting, security and file storage, Resend for email, Expo for mobile push notifications, and Google Ads for advertising measurement. The Privacy Policy lists what each one receives, what cookies and tracking the site uses, how long we keep your data, and how to ask us to delete it.
7. Changes
We may update these terms; if so, the updated terms apply starting at the next billing cycle. Material changes will be announced by email.
